OH GOD I AM SO GLAD I DON'T HAVE TO USE A RULER FOR A SECOND. Man oh man. I was going to put the pictures of my drapery up, but I forgot my camera at my apartment and I am in the Sleaze at the moment. At a later date. I'm sure all of you will be holding your breath until then. I used a red tablecloth and put it over my bike. I'm not finished yet, but it is due in eleven hours. So is the life I lead now. Say, isn't the weather swell today? Warning: This does not pertain to Drawing 1. IPC, SUCK IT. I hate you so much. Did Zark do a couple of lines of cocaine this morning? What was up with his door kicking and jumping around? Ugh, that class is making me dislike everything. Okay, back to Drawing. I actually have nothing else to say about drawing.

I almost hate to point this out, but the assignment DOES say to use your ruler. But, let's see how the drawing looks tomorrow morning. Maybe it won't matter so much. Just remember: DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS!!!! Just break your still life down into planes. Look for dimensionality.

ReplyDeleteI just took a look at the syllabus, and you're right, it doesn't mention a ruler in the materials list. However, yes, I did mention it in class, AND the name of the assignment is "Ruler Drawing: Drapery."
