I finally finished the line drawing. You know, 18x24 paper doesn't seem so big until you start drawing on it. I found it tedious, but the end result is aesthetically pleasing and overall successful. It was a good first homework assignment. I'm more comfortable with the ruler and using it as a prop, instead of a dictatorial piece of equipment. I no longer resent having to use it, I suppose (but not in 3-D Design; fuck that class). I didn't really go into it with a set way of how it would look in the end, but Iwent in a type of "corseted" way. The lines start broad and thick, and as I went down the bands, I made them closer together and more concentrated. Then I belled back out, to imitate a corset and its restriction to the naturally curved and flowing female body. At any rate, I'm glad I'm done. I'm slightly anxious to see what we'll be doing next.
Over and out.

First Class was....
...Hot, very hot. I was slightly late too, my apologies. Foundations, shmoundations. They're beneficial, blah blah blah. I know they are. I took them for four years at Nashville School of the Arts. However, I am still ruler retarded, like red bandana drool-catcher retarded. 3-D Design is all rulers and forms and straight edges and imaginary boxes, too. That class will kick my ass. I haven't started on the first assigment in here yet. When I do, I'm sure the next entry will be more serious and insightful.
Also, how should we address you? Jason? Jason Cole? Mr. Cole? I liked that you were drinking a Coke but wearing a Mountain Dew shirt. That was slightly humorous. Thanks for letting us out so early on Wednesday, that was very nice of you. I should have joined the drawing board feeding frenzy, but I did not want to be part of a feeding frenzy. I am not a piranha. I am running out of money though, so it would have been beneficial. Can you try and make the first still-life of cones and boxes slightly interesting? Nothing worse than a dry, tedious still-life. After this blog entry, I'll stop addressing you directly, because I don't think that this blog is really what that's about.
Expect a delicious, tantalizing, profound blog entry about drawing several lines in boxes next.
Stay tuned.
